She's certainly not the first actress you would think of to play a comic book villain. 

Yet all eyes were on Kristen Wiig on Wednesday as the first picture of her as Wonder Woman's nemesis Cheetah was unveiled.

Director Patty Jenkins shared the image on Twitter, captioning it: 'Enter Barbara Minerva… #WW84.'

The picture shows Minerva, dressed rather frumpily, likely before she inherits a much cooler costume as her supervillain alter ego.

Dressed in a baggy green skirt and over-sized red sweater, she stands alone in what appears to be a natural history museum.

The upcoming sequel sees Gal Gadot once again taking on the role of Wonder Woman after the global smash hit original last year.
