Path of Exile
Item UpgradingThe
Best item upgrader way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you improve it without having to depend on costly drops or trades. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.
Upgrading equipment grants a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales based on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components make your weapons and armour better. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres, or purchasing them from karma sellers. They can also be salvaged from equipment with them, or by utilizing the highest-quality salvage kits such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from the item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be used to increase the level of experience gained from upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can be forged for additional benefits. For instance, a specially crafted glyph will boost the upgrade chance of its target, while the boost upgrade can enhance the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.
Selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will display an
upgrade item component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has a different experience multiplier that affects the amount of experience an item receives when it is upgraded with the component. For instance, organic components give a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade organic components first until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
Each item has an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of items that can be upgraded is determined by their upgradeable rank, and the kind of upgrade they are able to receive. For instance, the most expensive possible upgrade for a weapon is a tier 10 weapon. The most popular weapon upgrade is a tier 6 gun and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a set of items that all share the same bonus. Each
item upgrading can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade will increase the bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, primary stats are increased even more (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats increases randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the damage base of a weapon. This may be important for certain builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to have a higher maximum defense roll than their normal base. It is possible to increase the value of specific sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they're not always superior to a high-level Runeword.
If you are upgrading an item with a bonus, the item can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset back to zero. The same power die is used to reroll an item as it is used to level it up. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [Armor] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the proper amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs will also provide special rewards for each completed level of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and will be made using the same materials used in the original item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough to reroll tokens, they are able to play rerolling any item they have acquired during the game. When an upgraded item gets being rerolled, it can be exchanged for the level 1 version of the same item from a different set. Reroll tokens can be bought from the store for small amounts of in-game currency, but they are not refundable. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra bonuses of the first however its stats will be different also.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment, in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from a weapons to armor, or vice versa. The basic requirements and stats remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that have the gear in question.
Players can also boost the item level of any equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade components and communicating with the item's upgrader NPC. It will cost a specific number of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and kind. For weapons, each upgrade will add an additional five percent to the damage.
Upgrading an item can boost its power, but it will also lower its quality. It is therefore important to strike a balance between the two. Some items are not worth upgrading, whereas others require upgrading to maximize their potential. For example an individual player may wish to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor that has an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to explore the possibilities of what it can become.
The primary reason why people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they aren't able to obtain. Getting these items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play. The only other options are to spend money or grind a lot. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. However, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe that this feature was designed to increase the value of rare and expensive items. However, since most gear is replaced fairly quickly and can only be leveled up to a certain level, you will generally replace it before it is too old. It's also not worthwhile to
upgrade items with gem sockets as the power of the gem will far outweigh the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.
When you click the upgrade option on an item, you will get a small screen with the upgrade template for the item and the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the
item upgrader kit level. Armor and weapons have different prices, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to an upgraded item along with its current ilvl.
The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated according to the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage for lvl. For example weapons with an 8% upgrade decrease will decrease its count by 8-8%.
In addition to the base ilvl boost the item will also be upgraded in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage and dodge, block, and parry rating. Those increases are also built on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can check the amount of damage or defense an item will be able to sustain when it is upgraded. This is displayed below the cost and upgrade percentages. All weapons and armor that are not practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch a much higher price than a non-upp’d version. Similar is the case for other armor pieces, such as tiaras and circlets.
