WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrader mod Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.
Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display a preview of an
item upgrader mod's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.
upgrade item costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an
item upgrade is upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
Many locations offer item upgraders in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require a variety of means which is both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will cost less, even when they are part of a different gear set.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced as well, but is only available when certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, contingent on the kind of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the
item level upgrade, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. For instance it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the
Best item upgrader equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
