The stroller also comes with a large storage area under the seat as well as an adjustable shoulder strap that makes it easier to transport when you're not pushing it. However, the canopy adjustment can create a lot of noise, which might disturb a sleeping toddler.
1. Contours Itsy
A compact stroller The Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The basket in the back of the seat is spring loaded, meaning that you can pull it down to store a diaper bag or backpack into and it will then pop up to secure the contents. It has a child accessory holder and an adjustable reclined seat pad. This is more than you would see on a typical light stroller.
It also has a canopy that you can open and shut to ensure that you get the level of sun protection you desire. The handlebars can be adjusted in height to ensure a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't as impressed with its performance on rough surfaces. We found that the suspension and wheels didn't do a good job of absorbing shocks and bumps.
The stroller is ideal for traveling because it is fully assembled in the box. It takes only a few simple steps to get it ready for use. The seat can be moved back and forward to adjust the recline. It's a bit flat. Two buttons on the frame make it easy to fold and unfold. It can be tucked away in the most convenient carrying bag when not in use. It's actually one of the smallest strollers we tested and it easily meets most airline requirements for gate-checking or cabin storage, on airplanes. Make sure to check with your airline to see if there are any restrictions prior to your flight. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus
This stroller is a great option for those who require a lightweight travel stroller. It comes with all the features that parents want in a stroller. It comes with all-terrain tires and front suspension for smooth riding. It is also extremely lightweight, weighing less than 12 pounds. It can be folded by one hand, and then stand up on its own. It has two cup holders on each tray to accommodate parents and children.
Its build quality isn't very good, and it didn't do well in our maneuverability test. It also features a flexible frame which makes pushing it over rough terrain feel like lifting a heavy weight. This is fine when you use the stroller on smooth sidewalks, but for most people, it will likely not be a pleasant experience.
The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy with a peek-aboo window to provide additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat accommodates children as heavy as 50 pounds and features the 5-point safety restraint system. This is a great feature for older toddlers who have outgrown infant car seats.
It is compact and folds up in a
cheap single pushchair step. It can be folded by pressing a button. It also has a convenient foot-activated brake that is simple and easy to set and release.
However the handle is lower than other strollers we've tested, and some parents might be uncomfortable for extended durations. It does come with a handle lock to keep it in place when opened, though. This is a great feature if you plan to use the stroller on uneven or muddy terrain.
3. Munchkin Sparrow
The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the perfect travel stroller for parents who are constantly on the move. The stroller is compact and can be folded up and down with ease and can be tucked away in the overhead compartments of planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to fret about parking fees). It is also equipped with a simple-zip carrying bag that can be easily stored. It can be used with the infant car adapter right from birth and provides good sun protection thanks to its canopy. The only downside for certain parents is that they consider the style to be dated and unfashionable.
The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other
single wheel stroller strollers that are lightweight however, it was created specifically for luxury urban and travel. It's among the smallest strollers that fold (and comes with a handy carry case) and offers plenty of storage space, including cups holder. The seat reclines almost flat for both children and adult. This is the only stroller in our list with a car seat adapter to allow it to be used with a newborn. Some short parents may not like the handlebar, as it doesn't adjust.
The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, however it is packed with amazing features that help children travel more easily. The large seat reclines to an upright position and comes with additional padding to make those airplane napping sessions more comfortable. The extendable canopy offers good sun protection, while the parent tray is spacious with plenty of storage. It also has a spring-loaded footrest that doubles as a handle when folded. The footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.
4. Uppababy Mini V2
The Uppababy Minu V2 is a premium stroller that doesn't compromise on design or quality. Its compact design allows it to easily navigate through narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its sturdy construction lets it handle rough terrain without compromising the safety of your child. The spring-action suspension on the rear and front ensures an even more comfortable ride and its sturdy materials ensure that it will withstand everyday wear and tear. Furthermore, it can be expanded to accommodate additional accessories like an infant car seat.
In our testing during our testing, the Minu was easy to fold and move around, even with a baby in the hand. Its squat nearly square fold which folds in thirds, is among the easiest in our tests and allows it to fit in overhead compartments on planes or public transportation. It comes with a
single standing stroller-action color-coded brake that is easy to use.
The seat reclines in multiple positions and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it a breeze to find your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ hood went down quite far, which was great for shielding Cora's eyes from sun (though not as low as some other strollers). The medium-sized mesh window is magnetically attached to the canopy, and it closes without the use of noisy Velcro.
At just under 15 pounds At just under 15 pounds, the Minu is easy to carry thanks to its built-in carry handle and a shoulder strap. It can also be stored in the trunk of your vehicle, and it comes with a storage container and access to the Uppababy TravelSafe program, which gives two years to the manufacturer's warranty. It also covers repairs for items damaged in the course of air travel.
5. Joovy Aire
Joovy, a well-known stroller brand that makes several models. This light model is a good choice for parents who want a sturdy stroller that can transport kids around, offers ample storage space, is relatively easy to move around and doesn't require an engineering degree to fold. It's not the best choice for those who want an automobile seat-compatible model or a double stroller, however. It's not compatible with infant car seats, and your babies must be able to sit on their own before they can use the stroller from day one.
This stroller is loaded with features and is available at a reasonable price. It was awarded a higher score in our review of maneuverability than other strollers with similar specs, and it's a great option for smooth pavements.
