World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item upgrader. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example an Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrades an Item Upgrader mod the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could increase in price even if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader mod upgrader lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero.image
