Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations that are applied.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail for instance, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens permit you to buy a new item, like an armor, weapon or ring. The item is replaced with another of the same kind however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. However, they do not retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of an item for example, increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll their equipment in three categories that include physical power, magical power and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give players additional health.
There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades require a common
item upgrading. Rare upgrades require an item that is either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next successful result is to be rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the beginning of every Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grabbing on to them. Once they're opened, they display a full description and the icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's store for the amount of coins.
In the course of a run, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of selected Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop sells for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that increase an item's level by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. These stones can also be purchased by players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the appropriate item and then click the "level up" button. This will display a list of the item's current level and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires a single green or blue Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements have been fulfilled, the player may then click on the
upgrade item button to apply the Growth Stones to the
item upgrading. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also safe and doesn't impact the longevity of the item. It's a great way for players who want to get an edge in battle but don't want burden their wallets. Furthermore, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item to new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of methods to obtain them, including signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to increase the power of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It is accomplished by combining an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade materials and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item a boost in that area. This process continues until the item reaches its highest level.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components do not stack against each other, and can only be added to one item at a time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a particular number of items to be used and a minimum amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add an
Best item upgrade to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the gear looks like at its next level. Once players have enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
An
item upgrades of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time an
item level upgrade is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item reaches its maximum level that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. When an item attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be put into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to offer an added bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through questing or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be changed with new ones. However, this could cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.
Requirements
The upgrades to items allow players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor that they currently own. The requirements to upgrade an item will vary based on the item type but generally, you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment set pieces and weapons for additional effects or to increase the item level. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can boost the item's stats.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also gives an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
