Path of Exile
Item UpgradingThe most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This lets you improve it without having to depend on costly drops or trades. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.
Upgrades to equipment provide an additional bonus to the item's stats. This bonus scales according to the rarity and quality of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons better. They can be found by destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors or finding them in items-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that has the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed by removing them from an item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the level of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to boost the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can be forged to give extra bonuses. For instance, a specially crafted glyph will boost the upgrade chance of its target, whereas an upgrade boost will increase the attack or defense quality of a weapon or armor.
Selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will let you bind it to an item. This will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item will gain when upgraded using that component. For instance, organic components give a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade organic components first until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment, and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.
Each item comes with an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades available is determined by its upgradeable rank and the
upgrade items type of the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon of 10th level. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a group of items that share a bonus. Each
item upgrades can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade increases the bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade a set piece or weapon will give it an increase of +1 to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted even further (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its stats will increase randomly.
Upgrades can also boost a weapon's damage base. This could be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to have a greater defense level than their base. Upgrading can be a good method to increase the value of some set and unique items, but it is important to keep in mind that they might not be superior to a high-level runeword in any build.
If the item you're upgrading has a guaranteed bonus that is guaranteed, it can be rerolled once and its guarantee will be reset to zero. Rerolling costs the same amount of power dice as the process of leveling an item, however the new item will offer different extra bonuses. Upgrades can be made at the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each kind. These are available at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collector and are available for purchase with Gold. The NPCs will also offer special rewards for each level of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled a single time using the same materials and components as the first item.
Rerolling
If the player has enough rerolling tokens, they can roll any item they've acquired during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced by an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens can be purchased from the store for an amount of in-game currency, however they are not refundable. The upgraded item will still have the extra bonuses of the first however its stats will differ too.
In addition to rerolling objects, players can also alter the identity of any equipment by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, while keeping its basic stats and required attributes. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.
The player can also upgrade their level of the item for any equipment that is equipped. This can be done by interacting with an upgrader NPC and obtaining
upgrade items. The cost will differ based on the upgrade track, the
Best item upgrade type, and the number of crests. In the case of weapons, each step will add an additional 5% to its damage.
An upgrade will make it more powerful however, it can also lower its quality. It is therefore important to balance the two. Some items are not worth upgrading, whereas others need to be upgraded to maximize their potential. For example, a player might want to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier ( percent chance of blocking or FHR) to explore the possibilities of what it can become.
The main reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to get a specific character or weapon that they aren't able to obtain. These items can be time-consuming and expensive to acquire, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only alternative is to invest money or grind extensively. This is why rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe it was designed to to give some value to rare items, but as the majority of gear drops quickly and is only upgraded after a certain amount of levels, you'll usually replace the item before it becomes too old. It's also not worth it to
upgrade items with gem sockets since the value of the gem will outweigh the higher ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
If you click on the upgrade option on an item, you'll see a small window with the item's upgrade template and the cost of Valorstone and crest to boost the level of the item. Armor and weapons have different costs, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to an upgraded item along with its current ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage of lvl. For instance the weapon that has an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its value by 8-8 percent.
The item will receive upgrades to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry, and dodge rating in addition to the base ilvl. These increases are also based off the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can see the amount of damage or defense the item will suffer after being leveled up. This is displayed below the cost and the upgrade percentages. All weapons and armor apart from practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can command a much higher price than an unupp'd version. This is also true for other pieces of armor, such as tiaras and circlets.
