The
item upgrading upgrader adds a new widget to the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.
Boosters
With an item upgrader, you can get numerous bonuses. They can include a range of stats, as well as a number of extra bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to improve the capabilities of a character, or they can be used to add an element of variety to a build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to increase the quality of their gear by paying currencies at an item upgrader NPC. The system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and was further developed in Warlords of Draenor. It's a convenient method to boost the level of your equipment, which lets you to avoid the tedious grind and avoid the countless wipes in Mythic+ Dungeons.
When an item is upgraded its base type changes. Upgrades to a normal item produce an Exceptional version, whereas upgrades to an Exceptional model create an Elite. The item will be able to keep the stats it had prior to upgrading, and will gain an extra bonus from its new base type. This bonus will be randomly chosen from the following categories: the chance to acquire a weapon with an increased damage range, a chance to obtain an increased reload speed or a chance to gain a higher max defense roll.
The number of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade will increase the extras in question by a factor of one up to a maximum of three. Additionally, every upgrade will also increase the stat that is used to determine the main one by one.
In addition to the stat boosts Certain upgrades can provide a random boost. These secondary boosts can be extremely valuable and should be taken into consideration when deciding which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are suitable for specific builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others could provide a great deal of value to certain collectors.
Some items have an inherent boo that is less beneficial when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which gives extra potion slots. They are often upgraded to add more value to a near-perfect or perfect item.
Costs
Upgrades have some associated costs. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. It can be costly and depends on the new level of the item as well as the number of perks it gets. Upgrades to higher levels (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be costly.
The second is the cost of the items required for an upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or a specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. The amount of these materials required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take 8 hours depending on the size of the upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated by using the item's new ilvl bonuses, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important stats. In certain cases the upgrade can grant additional benefits that can be chosen from a variety of perks.
Rarely, the perks obtained will cost more than one perk slot; in these situations the upgrade will replace the most expensive perks. Sometimes, the upgrader will make other modifications to an item, like changing the damage type of a weapon or removing or adding an operative or unwieldy property. The cost of these changes is based on the item's new ilvl, and it may require a special substance like adamantine alloy.
Success Rate
The upgrading of an item is based on chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it won't work. There are a number of methods to increase your odds of success. This includes using an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional components to your upgrade.
An Upgrade Pity is a product you can buy from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade succeeding by some percentage. It is similar to the luck bonus that some items have however it is more solid. This can be added to any weapons or armor, and is used three times.
It is also possible to add a number of additional elements to the upgrade, which increases its chance of success. They are displayed in a window that is above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is displayed directly above the + button.
A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version thereof, can be used to increase the chances of a successful upgrade. This item is useful when you own an item of gear that has reached the highest level for its tier or is close to it. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next level without risking its breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its original condition. This is typically a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. You should save an upgrade until you are nearing the maximum level for an
item level upgrade.
There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the odds of an upgrade succeeding. You can increase your chances of success by upgrading equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The rate of success will be increased if you increase your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.
Failure Rate
The item upgrader allows players to add an extra slot to their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an
item level upgrade or apply an enchantment. However, it is important to know that not all items can be upgraded. The rank of an item will determine the speed at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank of the item is, the more Zeny items will be needed to upgrade it.
This system is costly, especially if you are looking for high-level gear. It can cost between 100,000 Z and 100 Carnium to upgrade an armor or weapon. As you rise in rank, the success rate decreases. You can increase the likelihood of upgrading an item using cash shop items.
Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be carried out on armor pieces, weapons and bicycles. It consumes different grades of core depending on the type of item. In general, items with lower grades will require lower grade cores while items with higher quality will require more expensive cores.
You must have the correct number of cores to do an upgrade. Click the button next the item you want to upgrade once you have the cores. The upgrade window will show a percentage indication of your odds of success. This percentage is based upon the upgrade level and core type of the item you've selected.
You can also choose an insurance policy that will safeguard your equipment in the event of a failure. The cost of this protection may vary, but it will always be less than the cost of buying a new item. The protection is only available once each upgrade, and it will not expire unless it is re-used.
The UI for the item upgrader may be somewhat confusing, but it's not impossible to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left side and the upgrade window appears on the right. The arrows to the left of the UI indicate the various steps in the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to seek help if you are unsure what you're doing. The upgrade process can take up to five minutes.
