World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with
item upgrader mod's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate chances of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.
You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
The use of a Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing
upgrade item Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each
upgrade item Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When the player upgrades a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up a lot of resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items -
metooo.es - allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero.
