WoW Upgrades - The
Item UpgraderUpgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the
item Upgrader kit level by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with every upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the
item level upgrade is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with numerous new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less, even in the event that they are part of another set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific
item upgrade level upgrades. Crests are a crucial element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the kind of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
