Dean agrees that they should focus on work and bringing down Dick Roman. Sam admits that he is not okay, but that he just wants to work. Before he goes, he makes her give up her lock-pick after which goes into the constructing where Sam and Lee are being held. When Sam turns and curls up to sleep, Dean stares on the street forward and, perhaps calling to thoughts Frank's advice, tries to smile. Instead, it's Krissy, who's calling because she hasn't heard from Sam. When Sally exhibits up intending to feed on Lee once more, Sam makes her indignant in order that she'll feed on him as a substitute, prolonging Lee's life. Sam has appeared by way of the notes he present in Lee's closet and, after examining a body in the morgue, knows that Lee went lacking after monitoring a vetala to a truck cease diner close to Dodge City, Kansas. He references John's journal, which describes vetala as venomous loners that like to feed on their victims over just a few days. Dean is compelled to take her alongside, and in the automobile Dean reveals that Sam and Lee were improper in their assumption that vetala are loners: they normally hunt in pairs.
