Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Keys to a New Generation of Luxury SUVs
Rolls-Royce has been producing luxury cars for the ultra-wealthy who want to cruise off into the sunset and explore the world in total luxury. Cullinan is the company's first SUV, and the goal is to entice the wealthy from their Range Rovers and Bentaygas.
Its innovative architecture, technology and design provide an iconic design, unmatched space and usability, and unbeatable off-road and on-road capability.
Effortless Everywhere
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan was designed for those who see travel as a work of art as a way of living. It must be as easy to drive on and off-road as it is on a paved roadway. The new SUV from the brand, called "the first all-terrain
rolls royce ghost key-Royce," brings this possibility to life. Its innovative features speak to the legacy of perfection and skill.
Cullinan does not care about bumps and imperfections. Its supple suspension makes it feel like the road is a soft rug.
During our test drive of the Cullinan We drove off-road, both on gravel and mud, and on paved roads with potholes and other imperfections. The car's all-wheel drive system and oversized tires allowed it to conquer difficult terrain with confidence. It even has a suspension with low-riding that raises the body higher than the ground to allow it to crawl over stones and other obstacles without damaging the underside.
In addition to its all-terrain capability and all-terrain capability, the Cullinan comes with a wealth of modern technology to make the owner's journeys as easy as is possible. The SUV comes with forward-collision warnings that include automatic emergency braking, night vision and vision assist, a surround-view camera system which is useful when driving or parking in tight spaces due to the Cullinan's size as well as adaptive cruise control and lane-departure alerts. It also comes with a WiFi hotspot, navigation and an industry-leading head-up display.
The Cullinan also comes with the type of solid construction quality that a shrewd buyer would expect. Every knob, switch, or touchpoint feels as if it's been there for a thousand years. In the end it may only require just a little bit of spit to keep functioning. The cabin is adorned in chrome, wood, and leather -- with the Spirit of Ecstasy looking down on the driver and passengers from a high perch above the dashboard.
The Cullinan's cabin may be filled with cutting-edge technology, it's lacking certain gizmos younger drivers may want. It's not equipped with driver aids, such as semi-autonomous highway and lane-keeping, or the connected gadgets that are becoming more popular in cars.
Clasp
One push of the button - dubbed 'Everywhere' by engineers from Rolls-Royce - is all it takes to unleash Cullinan's peerless off-road capabilities. This lets the driver fine tune the SUV's self-leveling suspension to absorb every bump and rut while the prop shaft and drive shaft ensure all 850Nm of torque is sent to the front and rear wheels at the exact moment.
Cullinan is the first Rolls-Royce model to have an open tailgate, with the rear doors opening in a similar style like pickup trucks. The design creates an SUV with the appearance of three boxes. It also provides access to a cargo area that offers 21 cubic feet of space, with the rear seats up with the floor positioned lower than the bottom of the seatbacks in order to prevent items from sliding around.
The main cabin of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan offers an approach that is more practical to luxury than anything previously seen in the production Rolls-Royce car. For example, the rear passengers sit higher than those in the front, meaning that they will have an unobstructed view of the world outside their vehicle. The layout can be arranged to meet various requirements, with the standard rear bench providing the option of a 40/20/40 split as well as folding seatbacks that can be folded for more flexibility.
The rear-view mirrors were reshaped to fit in with the utilitarian design. The Rolls-Royce badge was mounted on a smaller plinth, separated from the numberplate housing, with a thin piece of jewellery to add decoration. The rear lights sport an identical utilitarian design with two small upright units that house the lights and a single piece of gold in their center.
Cullinan in addition to the obvious advantages of the more practical layout, is the most family-friendly Rolls-Royce ever. The rear bench can be set up for three people. The open-air roof is standard and provides ample space to spread out. Drivers can also relax in their surroundings by opting for the Immersive Seating configuration that covers them in a luxurious luxury and encases them in the finest leather. A champagne decanter and whisky cooler can be placed in the central console to increase the luxury.
The compartment for rear passengers
The Cullinan The Cullinan, a Rolls-Royce like none before it, is both like and different. It's large and lavish, but it opens the brand up to new generations of potential buyers who'll drive it into places where other luxury SUVs might shy away from. Those might include Jackson Hole, Wyoming where the SUV is built.
The vertical lines that run across the front doors and down the raised bonnet edge, into the metal skid plates, convey a confident, purposeful sense of purpose. This SUV is prepared to take on the whole world. Additionally, the massive wheels and slender roofline silhouette give it an imposing, tall look that conveys a remarkably robust style.
Rolls-Royce engineers have designed a unique design for this vehicle that blends an exquisite interior with unparalleled off-road capabilities and uncompromising luxury. In the process, they have crafted a vehicle that is both practical and truly iconic.
The passengers seated in the rear can take in spectacular views of the surrounding area through the large glass area of the world-class panoramic glass roof. If they want to pinpoint their current location around the globe it is easy to zoom in on themselves using the rear touchscreen map.
The rear seat backs are able to be folded down. This allows for a large cargo space. With just a touch of a button they can be easily lower without damaging the seat cushion. They can also be divided in a 1/3 and 2/3 configuration, enhancing the car's utility even more.
Once they've reached their destination The passengers are able to get in and out of their Rolls-Royce in complete comfort with legs protected from dirt thanks to a layout that sees both the front and rear coach doors wrap low under the sill. This allows the passengers of the Rolls-Royce to enter and exit comfortably, with their legs protected from dirt thanks to the design that wraps both front and rear coach doors low beneath the sill.
And once they're inside, guests can toast their success with a glass of whisky from the bottle holder that stows behind the front seats. When they're ready to relax and unwind, they can relax in the heated and padded rear seats, and make use of the optional neck, shoulder and leg rests.
The Glass Partition
With a starting price of $325,000 The Cullinan is unlike any other vehicle that has come out of Rolls-Royce's Goodwood factory over its 114-year history. It's not only that it comes with an all-wheel drive system, but also a button that reads "Off Road," and an adjustable ride height. (Rolls-Royce is an established company with a long tradition of overland vehicles that date back to T.E. Lawrence's 1914 armored car). This is because the SUV was built to be a family car that's intended to be driven by the owners, rather than to a chauffeur.
It's also the first vehicle to have an enclosed rear compartment that can accommodate three people in comfort and still leave enough space for luggage and equipment.
