Ghost Immobiliser 2
Guards your vehicle against key cloning and stops thieves from driving it with the original keys. Our most recent immobiliser connects to your vehicles CAN data network & the unique PIN code needs to be entered for the engine to start.
Ghost, unlike trackers, does not emit radio frequency signals and cannot be detected by diagnostic tools. There are also no LED indicators or buttons giving the impression of its presence in your car or van.
Anti-key Cloning
The
Local Ghost Immobiliser Installer immobiliser was designed to prevent key cloning. This device is connected to your vehicle's data network CAN, and creates a unique pin code by using the factory buttons on your dashboard and steering. This stops the criminal from being able to start your car. If the incorrect PIN code is entered, the engine cannot be started which makes it impossible for them to escape with your joy and pride.
Ghost immobilisers employ new technology that is very difficult for thieves to beat. The ghost immobiliser, unlike physical deterrents such as wheel locks and steering locks that can be cut, is a discreet electronic device. It's not even recognized by thieves as it does not emit radio signals and operates silently.
The next generation of immobilisers are able to protect your car from a variety of threats like key-hacking, cloned keys and even relay attacks. It can also stop the thief from adding a key or replacing your ECU because it won't permit them to start your car without first entering the correct PIN code.
Contrary to other immobilisers, the ghost immobiliser 2 doesn't require a key fobs or remotes for operation. It is deactivable by using an app on the driver's smartphone. This is ideal for the times you have to hand your car over for valet parking or maintenance without key fobs.
The Autowatch Ghost-II is the latest evolution of our ground-breaking ghost immobiliser. It is designed to be simple and easy to use and yet be as secure as possible. This is achieved by connecting the Ghost-II into the vehicle's data network CAN, which means that there aren't any additional wires to hide or be easily located. It has a built-in feature which allows you to disarm the Ghost-II simply by connecting to your vehicle's Bluetooth.
OBD port hacking
OBD port hacking is a new technique employed by professional car thieves to steal cars. Thieves can gain access to your vehicle's OBD with the help of a laptop, mobile application, and a few cables that can be bought online for less than PS50. Once they have access to your vehicle's OBD port, they will be able to do whatever they want including resetting fault codes and tuning your car to taking away your pride and joy in less than a minute.
It can protect your vehicle from being taken away by requiring a unique PIN number to be entered with your key fob before you can start the engine or drive away. It does this by interacting with the vehicles ECU (Engine Control Unit) via the CAN Data circuit, and is completely undetectable to any scan or code grabbing technology. It also has a Service/Valet mode which will allow your vehicle to be started without needing the PIN code.
You will also need a cable with OBD pins that are connected to the CAN bus. These cables can be found on eBay or Amazon for around PS50. You'll also require cables with OBD pins which are connected to the CAN bus, these can be found on Amazon/Ebay for about PS50. You then need to splice the cable into the wire harness of your car for example, the radio wiring harness.
Once the hacker has gained access to the OBD port on your vehicle, they can send diagnostics to the system at a high baud rate which can cause a crash to the car's CAN and prevent the systems from working. This could cause your car's engine to stall or lock up.
No need for additional remotes or key fobs
The car immobiliser is an excellent piece of anti-theft technology utilized by millions of modern cars across the globe. An aftermarket immobiliser safeguards your vehicle with engine ECU software that stops vehicles from starting when an untrue transponder signal is sent.
It is possible for a thief, if they have the code to disable an immobiliser, and bypass it. The batteries in the majority of key fobs can be easily removed by prying it open, so a thief can employ a simple tool remove the immobiliser's internal circuit board and replace it with an empty. They will then be able to start your vehicle.
With the TASSA approved Ghost 2 immobiliser, there are no additional keys or remotes needed. The immobiliser communicates directly with the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit). This is accomplished by a discrete and silent data loop in CAN that cannot be detected by diagnostic tools, such as those used by high tech thieves. It does not also use a traditional key-fob with LED indicators, meaning it's not visible in plain sight.
You may need to deactivate Autowatch's Ghost 2 automatic protection at certain times like during valet parking or during a service. Ghost CAN immobilisers feature a mode called 'Service Mode that you can activate by a simple push of a button on your phone. The car can still be operated, but the maximum speed is limited to 36 mph.

Simple change of PIN code
Ghost is the latest generation of device that protects your car without cutting wires, or installing aftermarket key fobs. It is directly connected to the vehicles CAN data network and a unique PIN code is programmed into it via buttons on your steering wheel & dash. The device does not emit RF signals, so it cannot be bypassed. This makes it inaccessible to sophisticated scanning or code grabbing technologies that modern thieves use.
The PIN code sequence can be altered whenever you want to block previous drivers. It even comes with an override code incase of lost sequences. During installation the installer will show how to accomplish this. The system also includes a valet mode feature which can be used to temporarily disable the pin input sequence to allow your mechanic or garage can repair the car without needing to know the pin code. This is a great option for those who don't want their PIN sequence to be revealed but still want to leave their car with valet parking or service.
Ghost is an individual system that utilizes the buttons on your vehicle to create a unique and interchangeable PIN sequence. This sequence is entered using the app for smartphones, meaning no extra LED indications are displayed and your vehicle is safe from the risk of being disabled by hackers or other technology.
Tested for each vehicle
Unlike key fobs that require you to press buttons on them the ghost immobiliser is discretely placed under the dash or steering wheel so that only you know that it's there. The device is connected to your vehicle's CAN data network and an individual PIN code is inserted using existing buttons on your vehicle. The system then prevents your engine from starting unless the code has been entered prior to. This means that thieves can't clone the keys of your car or access the OBD to hack into it.
ghost immobiliser installer can be used in all vehicles, including electric cars motorhomes, vans, motorhomes and bikes. Ghost is also extremely flexible and can be set to deactivate under different circumstances. It can be programmed to enter Valet mode, for instance when your vehicle is transported to a valet company or parking company. This allows you to drive your car within a speed limit of 30 mph, and the ghost immobiliser will turn on itself when the vehicle returns to your possession.
