Why should one consider Binance futures? No one controls these blocks, because blockchains are decentralized across every computer that has a bitcoin wallet, which you only get if you buy bitcoins. Experienced users are encouraged to help test the software so that any problems can be identified and fixed prior to release. ● Help test Bitcoin Core 0.19.1rc1: this upcoming maintenance release includes several bug fixes. The spender includes this secret in the part of their payment that’s encrypted to the receiver’s key. It also adds a new configuration option, include, that includes any configuration directives provided in the indicated file. 3821 adds anchor commitments for LN channels and enables them by default if both participating nodes of a channel signal support. 3957 adds some code that can be used in later PRs that add Atomic Multipath Payments (AMP). The receiver only accepts an incoming payment for the invoice if it contains the secret, preventing any other nodes from probing the receiver to see whether it’s expecting additional payments to a previously-used payment hash. ● Discussion of soft fork activation mechanisms: Matt Corallo started a discussion on the Bitcoin-Dev mailing list about what attributes are desirable in a soft fork activation method and submitted a proposal for a mechanism that contains those attribut

Corallo believes that a well-crafted soft fork using the BIP9 versionbits activation mechanism and surrounded with good community engagement fulfills the first four criteria-but not the fifth. Alternatively, a BIP8 flag-day soft fork fulfills the fifth criteria but encounters challenges fulfilling the other four criteria. Corallo also worries that using BIP8 from the start of a soft fork deployment gives the impression that the developers of node software get to decide the rules of the system. Node software can prepare for this maximum 42-month process by including, even in its initial versions, a configuration option that users can manually enable to enforce the BIP8 flag day if necessary. Although the initial total supply was set at 200 million coins, the supply is gradually decreasing as a result of frequent coin burns. This is in addition to the RPC’s previous behavior of adding information to the PSBT from the node’s mempool and UTXO set. Providing a descriptor here makes it easier for the user (or a program that is calling this RPC) to get all the information they need to not only monitor for payments received to the created address but to also later create unsigned transactions which start the process of spending that m

643 as part of enabling multipath payments. AMP is another type of multipath payment similar to the "base" or "basic" type already supported by C-Lightning, Eclair, and LND. ● Help test LND 0.9.0-beta-rc1: this pre-release of the next major version of LND brings several new features and bug fixes. This week’s newsletter requests help testing the next version of LND, summarizes a discussion about soft fork activation mechanisms, and describes a few notable changes to popular Bitcoin infrastructure software. Subsequent to the workshop, CTV proposer Jeremy Rubin announced a mailing list to help coordinate future review and discussion of the BIP119 proposal. A final discussion covered how and when to attempt to get BIP119 activated, including when a PR for it should be opened to the Bitcoin Core repository, what activation mechanism it should use (e.g. BIP9 versionbits), https://youtu.be/UVXeySM3QaI and what range of activation dates would be appropriate if it uses a miner-activated soft fork mechanism such as BIP9. Typically, market cycles on higher time frames are more reliable than market cycles on lower time frames. If you want to read more about the alternatives to bitcoin, check out our article here. For more information, see the Bitcoin Core PR Review Club meeting notes about this PR. In the responses to the post, Jorge Timón and Luke Dashjr both proposed that any BIP8-like mechanism use mandatory versionbits signaling leading up to the flag day (similar to how BIP148 proposed to activate segwit); Corallo notes that this conflicts with the third and fourth goals. 49, this new opcode proposed by Jeremy Rubin would allow a script to ensure its funds could only be spent by a specified set of child transactions. On IRC, Gregory Maxwell and Jeremy Rubin discussed several aspects of CTV, especially focusing on making the proposed opcode easier to use with advanced designs without making it harder to use with the simple congestion controlled transactions and payment pools already proposed.
