Baby Jogger City Select 2
The City Select 2 was released in summer 2021 and replaces the older City Select and City Select LUX strollers. It offers 24 different seating configurations and can even convert into triple strollers with the addition of a glider board (second seat and car seat sold separately). The stroller is a quarter of a pound lighter and weighs less than previous models. It comes with a variety of accessories, including an abdominal bar (included in the Eco Collection version), a second seat along with a parent console as well as an armband.
Most of our parent testers liked the large storage basket which can accommodate a large amount of gear. They also appreciated how easily the seats reclined and there plenty of legroom for both kids. The brake pedal at the back is easy to reach and use with one hand. The stroller is bigger and is more difficult to maneuver, but it is worth it for parents who like spacious strollers.
Another feature we love is that the City Select 2 is compatible with Baby Jogger, Britax, Graco, Chicco and Maxi-Cosi infant car seats (adapters sold separately). This means that you can use a single or double stroller from birth and long after toddlerhood.
This stroller is not cheap but it's probably the only stroller you'll ever have to purchase so if you're able to afford it we think it's worth the investment. Particularly when you consider the top quality and durable construction. The finish is beautiful and the fabric connections feel strong without looking like they are rumpled. The 5-point harness snaps easily together, offers a few adjustments options and is suitable for children of all sizes. The seat cover is machine washable in cold water and most users said it was easy to remove and reattach.
Delta Children LX Side by Side
If you're looking for a dual stroller that's easy carry and can fit into tight places it's the Delta Children LX Side by Side is a great choice. This stroller weighs 20 lbs and has seats that can accommodate children up to 50 pounds each. The canopy is large and provides protection from rain, sun and wind. The seats also recline to offer the children with a comfortable ride. The stroller is shorter than other strollers in our test, and it can be opened up to 29 inches which is enough to fit through doors that are standard 30 inches.
The stroller scored poorly in terms of user-friendliness due to it being simple it doesn't have storage containers or a deep recline for the seats, and there's only a small cup holder for parents to use on the handlebars. It does have a 5-point harness that has double-rethread buckles which are easier to adjust than single-rethread buckles found on most other strollers.
During the tests, we assessed how easy it was to move, turn, and fold the strollers. The ability to fold and unfold is one of the most important features of travel strollers because they typically have limited storage space in the trunk of a car. The strollers that fold easily and take only a few steps scored higher than those that have automatic locks. Strollers that stand upright when folded and are folded using a single hand also received high scores.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the easiest-to-push and turn, while the Mountain Buggy Nano takes a bit more effort to handle but still performs well in our test. The brand new Delta Children LX side by side is extremely light with a an easy-to-fold frame that's as smaller than some of the best umbrella strollers. Its simple design and budget-friendly cost make it an excellent option for parents who are seeking a travel jogger that is easy to lift, carry and to store.
