The machine has a thermocoil system that heats up quickly and makes it easy to transition between steaming and brewing. It is among a few machines that produce the perfect layer of steamed milk for lattes. This can be difficult without a lot of practice. This feature was a major aspect for us as we wanted to find an appliance that could make the creamy and rich cafe-style coffee that we adore. The Barista Express was able to achieve this, however it did take longer than other models we tested.
It comes with a huge tank that can hold 67 pounds. It is easy to refill and comes with an integrated water filter which eliminates impurities and keeps your coffee fresh. Another advantage is that the machine is easy to clean. Descale the machine at least every 3 months to prevent mineral build-up.
Like the other Breville machines we've tested, the Barista Express is designed for users who want to practice their skills. It doesn't come with certain of the sophisticated features that are present in other Breville machines, for instance, an automatic milk frother or a display that shows how much pressure or water is being used. However, this doesn't mean the Barista Express isn't a great alternative for coffee enthusiasts who want to upgrade from their current home espresso machine.
This model comes with 4 portafilters, including both the pressurized and unpressurized versions. The machine is also equipped with a high-quality tamper that is convenient and easy to use. The tamper is adjustable so you can achieve the appropriate amount of pressure when making a shot. It also has an infusion stage with low pressure which can help make the grind even and allow for a more consistent extraction at 9 bars of pressure.

This machine was created by Sage (or Breville in other countries) for those who desire coffee at home that is of a high-quality. It has a couple of features which set it apart from the competition. It uses an in-built bottomless filter that gives the shot a nice look and lets you see how much pre infusion has occurred. This model is distinct from other Sage models due to its a double boiler system. It's able to steam and brew simultaneously, which is very useful when making milk-based drinks. It also comes with a PID, which gives you control over the brew temperature which isn't possible on many other machines. The only downside is that this machine costs more than a single boiler or heat exchanger systems.
The EB590 also has a range of other features. It can be programmed to ensure that it is turned on at a certain time, so that it's there for you whenever you need it. This is a unique feature that isn't available on many machines. It's great for those who rely on their
cheap coffee machine maker in the morning to help wake them up.
The standby mode and the auto shutdown are very useful to improve energy efficiency. The auto shutdown is especially useful as it will automatically shut off after an hour of inactivity. This will lower your electric bill and prolong the life of the machine.
Oracle
Sage coffee machines are designed with the user in mind and this is evident in their variety of machines. They understand that not everyone is up to the demands of barista-style espresso making which is why they have designed their machines to automate the process to the highest extent possible, while still allowing users to participate in the extraction and the texture of milk for latte art or cappuccino. A majority of their models come with a built in burr grinder, or can be used with stand-alone models for the full bean-to-cup experience.
The Oracle is a great example. It has the brilliant Sage Dual Boiler as its basis, and it uses it to produce excellent espresso. However, it incorporates automated dosing and tamping milk texturing and negates the need for barista expertise at any level. Other features include programmable pouring and a triple-heat system. It is also one of the most expensive coffee makers on the market.
The Duo Temp Pro is a great machine to those looking for a Sage machine that is more affordable. It doesn't come with the same app-based technology or pressure gauge as the Oracle one, but it is a great machine to use. It has a large water tank and can be used with filter coffee, as well as ground coffee. It also comes with steam wands and a digital guide display. Its three second heating time is impressive. Many commercial machines take a long time to get up to the required temperature for extraction.

This makes it stand out amongst its rivals. It has multiple fittings for the brew basket that allow you to use different filters as well as a removable cone to allow you to use a reusable filter.
