Nespresso Lattissima Coffee Maker Review

The Lattissima is a Nespresso machine that takes brewing one-touch to the next level. It can make lungo and espresso in less than one minute, and it can also accept an array of capsules from the company.

It is also simple to program the machine to make the exact beverage you require. This is an excellent feature for busy families.

Easy to use

The basic black Nespresso machine is easy to use and maintain. It is simple and minimalist in appearance with a single button on the top that controls everything from powering washing to making coffee. You simply remove the lid, insert the capsule, and press the button to start the brewing. It heats quickly and offers numerous drink options, including a double-shot espresso or a 5-, 8 or 18-ounce cup of coffee. It also comes with a steaming tool that can add a cafe-like texture to your drinks. While we love its easy interface and compact shape, we found that the machine didn't perform like more expensive models in brewing rich-tasting espresso and coffee. It's also not as easy to recycle capsules as other machines we tried. This Nespresso wasn't our top choice in our side-byside test for these reasons.

imageQuick to brew

The Nespresso machine can make one cup of espresso in just 15 minutes. The heated water from the reservoir enters through a pump, and then through small holes on the top of the coffee pod. It is then mixed with the compacted ground Coffee maker nespresso inside before dripping into your cup. The machine created an extremely rich, delicious espresso with just a hint of bite when we tried it with Jones Brothers and Bestpresso coffee capsules. We tried whole, almond and 2% milks, and all of them worked well.

Easy to clean

imageIt's essential to clean the Nespresso machine regularly both inside and outside. This keeps the machine in good order and ensure its security. This can also enhance the taste of your coffee. There are a variety of cleaning products to clean the inside of a Nespresso and include vinegar. It's best to use a descaling agent instead of vinegar as it could damage the machine.

To clean your Nespresso machine, take out all capsules. Then, clean the drip tray and the capsule container. Fill the sink with warm water, and add a few drops dish soap. Let the drip tray or container soak for a few seconds in the soapy solution to loosen any stain or gunk. Rinse the drip tray and capsule container with hot water. Then apply a nonabrasive cloth or sponge to scrub off any stains or residues. After scrubbing the capsules and drip tray, rinse them again and allow them to completely dry before returning them to the machine.

After your machine has been cleaned and descaled, it's time to clean it. You can follow the instructions in your user manual to follow a specific procedure. You can also create your own DIY descaling solution with citric acid or white nespresso coffee machine vinegar. If you're using vinegar, ensure that it is white vinegar, not apple or balsamic, as they can be too harsh.
