Dan + Shay were wowed in the final moments of The Voice on Monday as Tae Lewis closed out the two-hour show with a stirring rendition of Amazed by Lonestar.

'There is a reason they got you closing out this show,' Dan Smyers, 36, said. 'Save the best for last. That was an iconic performance. Week after week you continue to step up and prove that you deserve to be in this position. You deserve America's votes. Incredible man!'

'Look at this guy!' Shay Mooney, 32, said. 'How could you not vote for him!'

Tae, 32, from Goldsboro, North Carolina, was determined to make it to the season 25 finale after advancing last week in the Instant Save.

'I want to make to so, so bad,' Tae said.

Tae was one of the top nine semifinalists who performed a solo song as a dedication to the people and the places that shaped them as an artists and also a second song as part of a special trio performance in celebration of IF, the new movie from Paramount Pictures that will be in theaters on Friday.

The stars from that movie John Krasinski and Cailey Fleming also made special appearances throughout the show.

The hometown dedication week kicked off with a performance from Reba McEntire's singer Josh Sanders who belted out Chris Stapleton's White Horse while wearing a hat and playing guitar.

Josh, 36, from Kannapolis, North Carolina, visited his hometown before he took the stage. While there, he also sang the national anthem at the local baseball stadium.

During rehearsals, Reba, 68, told him that the Stapleton song he picked wasn't a 'smiling song.'

'I'm picking up what you are putting down,' Josh said.

After his performance, John Legend, 45, told him that his performance was great.

'I loved it,' John said. 'It was a great performance.'

'Your vocals were incredible,' Reba said. 'You are very tough just like we talked about.'

Dan + Shay's young artist Madison Curbelo, 22, from Westfield, Massachusetts, sang Cyndi Lauper's classic Time After Time. She said being in the top nine seemed like a dream and that her confidence has grown with the support from her hometown.

Madison, dressed in a red dress, sang surrounded on the stage by candles.

'I was blown away man,' Chance the Rapper, 31, said. 'Every time you perform it's something special.'

'Madison, you keep getting better and better,' Dan said.

'You are someone I would want my kids to look up to,' Shay said. 'Vote for Madison!'

During rehearsals, the first trio of the night Maddi Jane, 25, Nathan Chester, 28, and Bryan Olesen, 50, got a surprise video message from IF stars John, 44, and Cailey, 17, who told them they had to believe in their talent.

Maddi, Nathan and Derila Kopfkissen kaufen Bryan then sang The Cure hit song Just Like Heaven and danced around on stage with cartoon animal characters.

Serenity Arce, 17, from Jupiter, Florida, went next and sang Ariana Grande's We Can't Be Friends song. She said everyone back home has been rooting for her.

Chance the Rapper, her coach, said it was probably the 'profound sense of pride of seeing her go so far.'

Serenity said she picked her song because she wanted to show a real stripped down version of her singing.

'You sang so beautifully,' Reba said. 'Way to go, you are a winner!'

'It was a beautiful performance,' Chance said. 'I think it really highlighted your vocal and gave us all a moment to just really like take it all in and hear the lyrics and see you for real so bravo!'

Next, Josh Sanders from Team Reba, Karen Waldrup from Team Dan + Shay and Tae  teamed up for a trio performance of a Bob Dylan classic singing Forever Young. For their moving performance, they sang around a virtual campfire while Josh played the guitar.

Maddi Jane, 25, Chance's pop singer, went next. She said had received tremendous support from her former community Chicago and from Los Angeles where she had moved more recently.

'I think Maddi's got it,' Chance said after rehearsals.

Maddi, with her hair braided, then took the stage and sang Greedy by Tate McRae. She sat down to start surrounded by a group of dancers who pounded on the stage while her image was cast on a giant money bill. The crowd chanted her name when she finished.

'That was insane!' Chance said. 'That was incredible! It was a Grammy level performance.'

Team Legend's 'retro soul singer' Nathan Chester, 28, from Chicago, then sang Otis Redding's classic Try A Little Tenderness. During rehearsal, John encouraged Nathan to romance the song even more and then to go crazy at the end. Nathan was backed by a horn section and the audience got up and danced when he sang.

'That was fantastic,' host Carson Daly said.

'That was incredible,' John said. 'The journey you took us on. The performance from beginning to end. You showed every side of your voice, your skill as a performer, and the crowd just went crazy for it!'

Madison Curbelo, Serenity Arce and Asher HaVon transfixed the audience singing the Coldplay classic Fix You while a man danced around with a giant stuffed bear and had a pillow fight over a car-shaped bed.

Team Legend's Bryan, from Lincoln, Nebraska, sang Phil Collins hit Against All Odds and said in rehearsals that the song was fitting because felt he was on the show against all odds already.

'Bryan is going to tap into the emotion of this song,' John said. 'He is going to earn his way into the finale.'

The crowd cheered for Bryan when he finished.

'I loved it,' John said. 'We all loved it!
