Transgender former WWE star Gabbi Tuft has lifted the lid on the grueling steps she had to take to lose 190 pounds of weight and muscle mass during her transition into a woman.

Tuft, known as Tyler Reks during her first four-year run with WWE, was released from the company in 2012 and KetoXplode Beoordeling retired from competition in 2014.

But, three years after coming out as a transgender woman in February 2021, the 45-year-old recently expressed a desire to return to the ring on social media.

During her initial run, Tuft weighed around 280 pounds and would eat 10,000 calories a day to build a physique that meant she was 'the alpha male of alpha males'.

Now she's revealed the steps she took to go from 'a guy who had dreadlocks down to my butt' - and somebody who drew comparisons to the Mountain from Game of Thrones  - to a woman.

Trans wrestler Gabbi Tuft reveals she lost 190 pounds of weight and muscle mass in transition

Tuft, known as Tyler Reks during her first four-year run with WWE, weighed around 280 pounds

She admitted taking estrogen was 'like going through a second puberty' during her transition

'That's who I was. I was the protector. I was the alpha male of alpha males, and everything I did revolved around that,' Tuft told Fox.

'But when I made the decision to medically transition. It was so powerful that I was truly ready to release all of it.

'God is it hard to get rid of that much muscle. It is a chore.

'I was shocked how much muscle I retained. I forced my body to burn muscle with these long extended cardiovascular sessions at high intensity and stayed in keto for a very long time, and I stopped lifting weights. That's the short version.

'It's been a sobering year to six months.' She also admitted that taking estrogen was 'like going through a second puberty.'

Tuft also revealed how her wife, Priscilla, was no longer 'sexually attracted' to her during that period. The couple are now separated and amicably working through a divorce.

She added: 'I had this moment where I had stopped presenting theater for a couple of months because [my wife] had mentioned that she wasn't feeling sexually attracted to me at the time because she just would see visions of me dressed up.

Tuft's wife Priscilla supported her transition although the two are now in the process of divorce

'And again, this is me at like, still 265 pounds of man in all my masculine glory. So at that point, it was kind of like cross-dressing is really what was happening.

'We are separated now, and we're kind of like in the middle of a divorce that we're not in a rush to finish. She and I are still best of friends. We co-parent. We see each other every day.

'There's so much love between us. We had our ups and downs as we separated. But we've done my full circle.'

Tuft has been training at 'The Dungeon 2.0' ran by WWE wrestler Natalya and her husband TJ Wilson.

Tuft did not win a main-roster title during her run in WWE, but did hold three championships with the company's former developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.

As Reks, Tuft won the FCW Heavyweight Championship and was a two-time FCW Tag Team Champion.
