Counter Strike New Revealed

After months of rumors, Valve has finally announced Counter Strike new. It's a major upgrade to CS:GO that will bring it onto the Source gamma 2 case engine.

It also comes with the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It's got a lot of gamers who are a bit naive but it looks like a huge upgrade for the regular player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will completely alter the way smokes are used in the game. The new changes are being referred to as responsive smokes and will be a significant game changer. Smokes will expand to fill up spaces naturally and then move around objects on the map. They will also react to the lighting of the game, which will make them look better and more realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes are now be capable of interfacing with game events, which will open up new tactical opportunities. Bullets, for example, will push smoke in order to temporarily clear the sightlines. Hex grenade blasts can also disperse smoke obstruction.

Smokes will now be more dynamic in the game. Smokes from previous versions were fixed-shaped objects that had a restricted range of movement and vision blocking. However, the new smokes will now grow to take up the space they're in and take up more of the player's vision when they are within it. This is a major upgrade that will make the game dynamic and provide both sides with the same visibility.

Additionally smokes are now able to react to the environment, weaponry, and lighting in the world. This will make the smoke feel more real and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is especially beneficial in the chaotic matches that will happen on every map.

Smokes won't be one-way that was a major problem in CS:GO and allowed players to see their opponents' locations from behind the smoke. Twistzz, a popular CS:GO professional, says the new system is a huge improvement for competitive CS2 and makes it more fair for both teams.

Other minor changes include moving smoke particles vertically to minimize the impact of edges, and updating spectators smoke overlay images so that they correspond to their camera position. The expiration time of smokes was changed to be in line with the visuals on the screen.

Loadouts

Players of CSGO can now alter their weapon choices prior to the start of every game. The new loadout system allows the players to choose weapons that suit their playstyles and team strategies. The new system also adds new tactical depth to the game, since players must be able to balance firepower and utility.

The CS: GO Update includes several other enhancements and changes in addition to the brand new loadouts. The most important is that the buy menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced by an adjustable grid that displays all options for purchase all at once. The smallest delay can affect the accuracy of the shot. A new video highlights the most significant improvements to the game, which is also known as sub tick updates.

Rather than a 64-tick update every millisecond, CS: Go will now be able utilize sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. The client will take note of each of these tiny increments and transmit them to the server. The server will transmit the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know the exact moment that you shot your shot or jumped, peeked and other inputs.

While a one-minute video is not enough to fully explain everything, the video explains that each piece of information sent by clients has a time stamp. The server will gather all the information from all players in chronological order before sending it back. According to the video a CS: GO will be able send twice as much information as 64-tick CS: GO.

That means that if the game's tick rate increases to 128 Hz, it will be able to handle your commands immediately and consistently. It's not only about increasing the tick rate also, the micro-tick updates will also reduce latency and input lag by guaranteeing that the server will respond to your actions with no delays or glitches.

Valve's technical enhancements to the game are only beginning. The company is implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the environment and is also upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to update all CS Cosmetics and weapons.

Maps

The coming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game as well as some old favorites which are getting facelifts. The updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set of maps includes touchstone and cs2 upgrade maps that will see no major changes to gameplay, while others have been renovated or redesigned using the latest Source 2 tools.

One of them is Overpass was redesigned to take advantage of the new engine's unison lighting system. The underpass of the map has been flooded with daylight and makes the area spacious and less crowded. In addition smoke grenades now expand dynamically to fill in spaces and interact with the new light.

Italy is another map that has been revamped. Its lighting, texture, and structure have been significantly improved. The new version is also more balanced than the predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. In the future, fans can expect to see classics like Aztec and Militia updated.

These maps will not be added to the map pool for competitive play even though they're still playable. The exception is Train, which has been removed from Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed whether the other maps taken from the pool will be reinstated.

imageOne of the more controversial updates is one created by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been open in its critique of Russia's actions in Ukraine. This map is based on the conflict-ravaged Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna and contains numerous references to the conflict.
