M: https://t.antj.link/192379/3788/0?bo=3471 Yeah, you recognize, choosing the reside sets was hard for me because the final couple of years we have simply been jerking around with the stay set, back and forth. I hadn't really found something that works till this set. This is the first set I'm actually pleased with and that i trace it back to the gear I'm utilizing now; the newer gear. I wrote with the equipment that I'm goind to be using on the subsequent album. It seems to work. I'm a bit anal about that stuff, but it surely seems to work if all the pieces comes from the identical angle. That's why there are not one of the old songs on the set. Some people get a little bit upset about that, however every album was created in a very completely different means. Lycia was a studio band in the early days and to perform, Continue To External Website say, a few of the stuff off of "Ionia", I would need two further guitarists and an extra synth player.

To play one thing off of "The Burning Circle and then Dust," we would wish one extra guitarist, perhaps two and a bass player. It's like all totally different types, so I pretty much focus on the present type. R: I heard quite a lot of songs that I wasn't conversant in in the course of the set. Are these songs going to be on the next album, or are they live solely? M: They'll be on the following album, which we're going to start out recording in about 10 days, as quickly as the tour's over. Everything you heard was model new, with the exception of the two songs from "Cold". Everything else is new. We're hammering the songs out stay as a result of I think prior to now, we have had a hard time transferring the studio stuff to live because I approached them very a lot as studio albums. While you go dwell, you have got to vary things round and I was never comfy with enjoying a number of the songs within the re-vamping live because they seemed to lack the preliminary passion behind the songs because they have been altered a lot. I figured I'd finally do it right and really create songs that work each in the studio and stay. We wrote the songs, and now we're taking part in them dwell. Pretty much the way you heard it tonight is the new album, aside from about three or four songs that I'm still in the technique of working out. R: Any expected date for the brand new album to return out? Any "spoilers", so to speak? M: What I'm shooting for is that I've given myself till the top of January to finish the album. I'm really hoping for a late spring/early summer release. What they want us to do now is tour each summer, so I wish to have a new album to support. I don't want to go out and help "Cold" once more, or no matter. I wish to have the album out by summer season, so if we do a tour, meet women or any shows in any respect, I need people to be acquainted with the fabric, versus hearing all new stuff.

You'll in all probability hear the identical set around here subsequent time with a couple of new songs in there, with the distinction being, when you've got the CD already, you will be extra conversant in it. R: Do you assume the introduction of Tara into the band, which began with "The Burning Circle and then Dust", however is more obvious with "Cold", had anything to do with "Cold's" very completely different mood, or was it totally due to your move to Ohio? M: I feel it was pretty much environmental. Her involvement on "Cold" is difficult to clarify. Her voice does create a unique temper with the music, but I think the same snowy feeling could be there whether she sang on it or not. I believe that issues persistently change with Lycia and it's simply part of the entire evolution. I've this aim of constructing no two albums ever the same. I wish to have every album to have it's own feel and it's owm style.
