A young entrepreneur is asking the Great British public to back his campaign to raise £100,000 to help ten WW2 veterans return to the beaches of Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. But he only has this month to raise the funds!

Johnny Gallagher, 29, has given hundreds of thousands of pounds to good causes in Britain, including charities supporting children with cancer and fighting animal abuse. He is the largest donor under 30 to WW2 veterans in the UK…. BUT now he is asking for your help.

Over the years, many events for our heroes have failed to attract enough public donations - causing Johnny to step in and personally fund them. The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans launched a campaign to get war heroes back to Normandy to commemorate D-Day but is once again struggling to raise enough funds - meaning some might be left out.

This has taken a toll on their morale, with one telling Johnny: 'I feel people have forgotten about me and my fallen friends, who made sacrifices for a country I don't recognise anymore.'

Johnny is urging as many people as possible to donate to help hit his campaign target.

'It would be more powerful for 100,000 people to donate £1 than me putting my hand in my pocket again,' he says. 'The few remaining men and women really need to know we all still care about them, so please donate and get as many people you know to do so too.'
