Being equipped with the right tools is essential when working in the field. This

Repair Patches
Consider adding adhesive patches your kit if you've got some holes in your gear. These patches made of heavy-duty materials have high-performance glue applied on a durable polyurethane back that allows a tear to recover. This water-tight glue will bond to fabrics, plastics, metals and other materials for an enduring fix. It's perfect for repairing drysuits and may be applied out in the field. Allow the sealant to dry for up to 12 hours prior applying the repaired gear.
The essential field repair kit for nylon tents impregnated with silicone, packs, rainwear and more. It includes one Clean Tape repair patch and a sil-nylon swatch. Also included is a 1/4-ounce Gore-Tex Repair Adhesive, Sealant and Brush and Sealant tube. Apply patch to clean flat surface. There should be a minimum of 1/2 inch overlap. Remove the release paper, and rub the adhesive side down using a gentle pressure.
Surface preparation is essential to successful repairs. Sunblock, acetone or oils on boots and shoes can cause adhesion issues. Use Seam Grip with Cotol 240 Cure Accelerator for the best results.
Adhesive Patches
These adhesive patches are perfect for those who don't want to sit around waiting to get back on the trail. Simply roughen the tube using the included scraper, apply one of the self-adhesive patches to apply the patch.
Use the tube-scuffer tool to roughen up the surface. This will help the glue stick. Spread a thin layer over the patch. Cover an area which is at the very least big as the patch. Take a few moments for the glue to harden before pressing the patch down and firmly securing it in place.
This kit includes two clear, adhesive-backed Tenacious Tape fabric repair patches. It also comes with one quarter ounce of Seam Grip urethane sealant and repair adhesive. It is ideal for reinforcing damaged sleeping bags, rainwear and packs.
