Fisher Stevens, who plays slimy liquid hirschhausen Bewertungen PR man Hugo in Succession, was the sensation of last week's episode when he responded to Kendall Roy's offer to be his 'dog' with: 'Woof woof.'

The actor was in Cannes this week to promote the stylish Wes Anderson film Asteroid City.

Surprisingly, he is also the producer and director of the upcoming David Beckham documentary for Netflix.

Even more surprisingly, he got the job after long-term pal Leonardo DiCaprio recommended him personally to Beckham.

Stevens said: 'The story I was told was that David was hanging out with Leo, and asked him who he should get.'

Stevens, from Chicago, won a Best Documentary Oscar in 2010, for The Cove, which exposed the Japanese practice of hunting and killing dolphins.

Meanwhile, on Succession the fate of Stevens' character Hugo hangs in the balance as it's yet to be seen if the tension-fraught merger with GoJo will go ahead.
