Repair Patches
If you've got holes or two in your gear, consider adding adhesive patches to your rep kit. These patches are made of high-performance glue applied on a tough polyurethane back which allows a tear under pressure to heal. Available in clear or colored versions they offer a long-lasting protection against punctures, moisture, sunlight, saltwater and extreme temperatures.
If your kit does not include any of the above items it is possible to consider adding a waterproof Aquaseal wader sealant. This water-tight adhesive will stick to plastics, fabrics, metals and more to provide an enduring fix. This is ideal for repairs to drysuits and also employed in the field. Allow the sealant to cure for at least 12 hours prior to applying the repaired gear.

Surface preparation is vital for successful repairs. Sunblock, acetone, or oils on shoes and boots can cause adhesion issues. For the best results, make use of Seam Grip alone or with Cotol-240 Cure Accelerator to speed up curing time to 2 hours.
Adhesive Patches

Use the tube-scuffer tool to roughen the surface. This will aid the glue stick. Spread a thin layer on the patch. Cover the area with a layer that is at least as big as the patch. Allow the glue to become tacky and then press the patch down firmly and secure it.
This kit contains two adhesive-backed, clear Tenacious Tape pressure sensitive fabric repair patches and a 1/4 ounce tube of Seam Grip urethane repair adhesive and sealant. Ideal for strengthening damaged sleeping bags, tents, rainwear, packs and boots.
