Prime Day 2022 ran July 12 and 13, featuring thousands of deals. Some of the best deals were on Amazon's own products, like the Echo and Echo Dot speakers (more than half off), Amazon Fire Tablets (up to 60% off) and Amazon clothing (up to 30% off). Shoppers also found plenty of Amazon Prime Day deals on Apple products, as well as on Roomba robot vacuums. One of our favorite Amazon deals this Prime Day was up to 25% off select gift cards (including Grubhub, Fandango, Bed Bath & Beyond and more). Another great Prime Day buy? Subscriptions. For example, you could sign up for Amazon Music Unlimited and try it for free for 90 days. In addition to its famous Prime Day sale, Amazon is offering another Prime-members-only shopping event in 2022 -- Prime Early Access (Oct. 11-12). This first-ever event from Amazon features deals for early holiday shoppers, spanning tech, toys, beauty, home goods and more. In addition to its famous Prime Day sale, Amazon offers plenty of deals throughout the year. Shoppers can pounce on Amazon Lightning Deals, which are super-discounted but super-short-lived discounts. You'll also find coupons while you shop. To snag these Amazon deals, just click the coupon to "clip" it and it'll be added to your eligible order automatically. Don't have time to hunt for Amazon deals? Use the Amazon app to set up price alerts. Or ask Alexa, "What are my deals" to see what's on sale.
Once upon a time, Amazon Prime Day was only once a year, usually in July, but the deals never stop, so why limit ourselves to one sales event? That was obviously Amazon's thinking when they announced the Prime Early Access Sale a few weeks ago, after months of rumors that the e-Commerce colossus was doubling up on Prime Day shopping holidays - with this also serving as an unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season. That's right, folks, "early Black Friday deals" start this week, because why wait for Halloween to be over? Amazon Prime Early Access Sale runs October 11-12 in 15 countries, and as we hunker down for a veritable tsunami of deals, we have our eyes peeled and our keyboards ready. As we seek out the best deals on the best wireless earbuds - almost every bud on that list was discounted back in July - smart home devices, tablets, Chromebooks, and, of course, sales on the best Android phones, flagship and mid-range alike, we're balancing past deals, current values, and changes in the market to ensure you get only the best discounts on the products you want.
We're already seeing some sales alive and kicking for Amazon devices - Kindle e-readers, Fire TVs, Echo speakers and beyond - and we'll be keeping this live blog updated throughout the next 48 hours as deals live, die, and (in some cases) live again. The Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook was almost too good to be true at $280, and alas it has sold out, but there are a handful of other Chromebook deals to take advantage of before their prices turn back into pumpkins at 3AM. Among Acer's superb Chromebook lineup, the Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (3H) is just below the premium titans like the Spin 714 and the now-discontinued Spin 713 (rest in peace, my lovely). When I went hands on with it hands-on with it back in May, it showed a lot of promise with its Ryzen chipset, up-firing speakers - something Acer still hasn't made standard for some unknowable reason - and long-lasting battery, and tonight's deal from Best Buy helps it stand out from the pack. Even if all you need in a watch is for it to look pretty and show your notifications, the Pixel Watch is $350 and you're stuck with Google's proprietary bands for the time being, while you can grab the 40mm Galaxy Watch 4 for $150 and then use it with any 20mm watch band you'd like. I have about 20 bands I swap between on mine depending on my wardrobe, mood, and the time of year. 150 from AmazonAmazon only has the Silver 40mm model down to $150, Sales but you can get the Black 44mm model for $170 off at Best Buy - the larger size has been $30 more expensive, so you get an extra $10 off here. While the Galaxy Watch 4 comes with a magnetic charging puck, it's not very sexy. For a better way to charge both your Galaxy Watch 4 and your smartphone, Samsung's latest version of the Duo wireless charger is down to $50. It'll charge the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphones at up to 15W, but it also supports standard Qi for your Pixel, your wife's iPhone, or whichever wireless charging phone you're rocking.
The biggest question hanging over the Pixel 7 has been if it would be a worthy upgrade and fix the Pixel 6's shortcomings in regards to battery and cell reception, and now that our Pixel 7 review has arrived, we can answer those questions before you buy one or the other. The Pixel 7's minutely smaller screen can get a little brighter in direct sunlight, the Google Tensor G2 is slightly more efficient to help the smaller battery last a full and complete day, and the mostly unchanged camera sensors are a wee bit faster thanks to the G2 processor. This means you have two options: take advantage of the trade-in deals and free gift cards for the Pixel 7 and pay the majority of that $600, or spend $380 on the Google Pixel 6 and get the Pixel 7 features with the next Pixel Feature Drop. If you lack a trade-in device, the Pixel 6 is a steal at $380, as the phone will get at least two more years of platform updates, four years of security updates, and almost all of the same features while costing $220 less.
