Tools
Having the right tools available is crucial when working out in the field. This kit was developed with this in mind, and includes all of the essential hand tools needed for repairs on the field. The tools are all made of metal and feature the smallest amount of plastic, so they can withstand use. Repair Patches
If you've got a hole or two in your gear, consider adding adhesive patches to your rep kit. These patches are made of high-performance glue already applied on a tough polyurethane back which allows a tear caused by pressure to recover. Available in clear or colored versions, these patches provide durability against punctures, moisture saltwater, sunlight and temperatures that are extreme.
If your kit doesn't include any of the items above, you may want to think about adding a waterproof Aquaseal wader sealant. This water-tight adhesive will stick to plastics, fabrics metals, and more for an enduring fix. This glue is ideal for repairing drysuits, and can be employed in the field. Give the sealant at least 12 hours to dry before you can use the repaired equipment.
The most essential field fabric repair kit for nylon tents that have silicone impregnated packs, rainwear, and more. Includes one Clean Tape patch and a sil-nylon repair sample, plus a 1/4 ounce tube of Gore-Tex Sil-Fix repair adhesive, sealant and brush. Apply patch to clean smooth, smooth surface. Allow a minimum 1/2 inch overlap. Remove the release paper, and rub adhesive side down using a gentle pressure.
