The
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves along.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the hidden bin and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or
Vacuum robot if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.
Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and
vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots at this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the
vacuum mop cleaner robot. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
