Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner, Bentley's coachbuilding unit bespoke, has designed a distinctive keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of Bentley. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a fluttering 'B' paperweight, a set keys and a brochure featuring never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

Aesthetics

Design
Bentley is a renowned brand for its extravagant and luxurious automobiles and keys, but even keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga key is made from sterling silver and features an enormous 'B' design which lets everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. The key is also decorated with the years 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.
The Mulsanne was revamped and redesigned by Bentley Mulliner to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats are designed to provide passengers with the most comfortable and private experience. They were inspired by the luxurious private aircraft. The bespoke heating and ventilation system as well as the air conditioning system was designed to give every passenger the perfect climate control setting.
The Mulsanne features a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp, and 479lb-ft of torque. This power is paired with a new suspension system that provides Bentley's trademark quiet ride.
In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a unique specification called the Centenary Specification for vehicles built in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are stitched in Centenary Gold, adding to the sense of celebration. The Centenary Specification also includes a custom Bentley keycase to complete the Bentley experience.
Function
The

Secure-A-Key is also available to protect against keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote-control fob, and is disabled when the key isn't used for a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the car.
Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and modern technology. Over 4,000 people work at its Crewe headquarters, which is responsible for the development, design and production of Bentley automobiles. Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own car. Guests sit at a series of images, referred to "mood stations" and
Bentley key fob select a series of images ranging from scenic views to sporting events that inspire them to design their own. Every time a choice is made, the pattern that emerges is the model, color and style preferences for the bespoke Bentley.
The configuration that is created is then loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards which are presented to guests in a handmade key case. The keys can also be outfitted with

Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to build and assemble the Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a deliberate refusal to embrace the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers do not utilize a machine for arranging perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Instead of letting the car's built-in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spaces the drivers must do it manually.
In the course of the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one particular example - the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include keys that display the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
