Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.

imageThe Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart robot vacuums mapping, with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self cleaning vacuum-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.

Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base automatic vacuum Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum bot cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock makes some of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums can really fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed it can be done easily. It features a large LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone, but it's one that can help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

It's a small base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, just attach one of the side brushes, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects it encounters, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life.
