Driving License Category C
A driving license in category C is commercial driver's license that allows drivers to operate straight trucks, buses and combination vehicles. This license also allows drivers to operate passenger vans, small hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and combination vehicles.

Passenger vehicles

There are additional endorsements available that can be added to the CDL in addition to the H. The N endorsement permits tanker drivers to transport liquids that are volatile and gases. Truckers must pass an exam to prove their expertise in specific areas to earn this endorsement. A representative of the motor carrier or its driver must be present at all times when driving a motor vehicle that has Division 1.1,1.2, or1.3 materials. This is applicable to both in-state and interstate transport, as well as the vehicles and shipments transporting dangerous materials.
