Hades 2 - Sign Up For a Playtest
The sequel to the Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades will be released in 2019. It's a bold move that raises the stakes and provides a deeper look at familial politics.
Melinoe is back on the hunt to kill Chronos, the titan of time. Along the way she'll meet new gods and specters. These include the personification of light Apollo, the goddess of witchcraft Hecate and the god of revenge Nemesis.
1. Hades 2 Technical test
If you're a fan of Supergiant Games and their well-known 2020 roguelike Hades, then it might be worth your time to sign up to take part in the technical testing for the sequel. The studio claims that its Early Access launch is on the horizon, and a playtest will help them to iron out any bugs that are present in smaller numbers of players than the full 1.0 release.
It's easy to sign-up by going to the Steam page of the game and pressing the "request access" button. There are only a few spots available, however the majority of those who applies will be chosen. The technical test lets players explore the first area in Hades 2 with early-game content, characters, and systems. If they clear the area, players will be "gently advised" to stop playing, and wait for the Early Access version, which should launch soon.
The game's new theme is Melinoe who is the daughter of Hades, and her journey to the Underworld to save her family. The game will explore Greek mythology in more depth than the original. Melinoe is joined by her aunt Hecate. The sequel adds more sexually attractive gods to attract, and a greater variety of powers she can utilize.
Hades 2 builds on the roguelike gameplay of its predecessor and features a brand new protagonist and a broader roster of Greek gods to please. Supergiant is aiming for the same blend of fast action and a soaring atmosphere that made its predecessor a Game of the Year contender when it was released in 2021.
Participants in the technical test will be able to choose different boons for each area fighting minibosses and other enemies, and take on the boss of that area. They'll also have the option to select permanent upgrades and take on the task of "God Mode."
Hades 2 will feature more levels, foes, voiced characters, and key areas than the completed version of the original. The technical test participants will not be able to carry their progress into the Early Access build. Supergiant intends to "reset" the game back to the beginning once it is in Early Access. This means that save data won't be transferred over.
2. Hades 2 Early Access
Hades 2 is officially in early access, and it's available for purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The players who decide to purchase the game will get access to both the early access version as well as the 1.0 full release once it launches, which Supergiant Games has confirmed will happen sometime in 2024.
The original Hades is an iconic modern classic. The sequel, however, shatters it in almost every way. The roguelite offers more depth and satisfying combat than ever before. It's a fully realized game that is just waiting for a few finishing elements to become an absolute masterpiece.
In addition to its stunning visuals, Hades 2 introduces a host of new and intriguing characters and features that will enhance the experience and test players in ways they've did not anticipate. In addition to the new gods and shades that populate the Underworld and the Underworld, there's a array of other objects to collect and upgrade through Incantations, an ongoing system of upgrades found throughout each run. Melinoe is able to craft new spells and improve her Nocturnal Armor and Weapons. She can also harvest items from the Crossroads Camp to use in future runs, and unlock weapons, boons and other tools.
The opening of more open areas is also a great expansion. These regions offer various routes through each area, as well as the setting is constantly changing to explore. Each region offers a unique take on the Underworld. Some are more accessible than others, however all offer unique challenges that distinguish them from other roguelites.
Supergiant also altered the gameplay slightly in the early access version, cutting down some of the work required to obtain certain upgrades, and

Oscarreys.Top) making it easier to move from one place to the next. Hades 2 is still far from being completed, but Supergiant has stated that it will continue to refine the game and make it perfect.
Supergiant is known for listening to its customers and responding to any issues that pop up, and it's evident in the way they've handled the early access release of Hades 2. It's likely to be some time before the final version is released however, it's already worthy of a place on your gaming shelf along with its predecessor.
3. Hades 2 Beta
Hades was a roguelike unlike the rest when it came out in 2018. The game was awarded multiple awards and is considered to be one of the most enjoyable games ever made. It's no surprise that the game was so popular with people due to its rich narrative which is rooted in Greek mythology, tales of family struggles and LGBTQ+ representation which feels organic and
Oscarreys.Top inclusive. So when Supergiant Games announced that a sequel was in the process, it was no surprise that the fans were thrilled.
Now, seven years after the original release, Hades 2 is finally entering early access. While it's not changed much mechanically, Supergiant's love for and dedication to Hades 2 are evident from the beginning.
According to the Steam page for Hades 2, the game "brings back all the elements that made the first so memorable such as the isometric view clearing rooms, selecting boons and unleashing powerful attacks, the hub world that is populated by fully voiced characters to talk with and learn from, the ever-changing Underworld and more."
The technical test also adds new features to the game. For example, the ability to unlock new permanent upgrades for Melinoe, a new weapon, and a range of other options to help you survive the underworld's hordes. You'll also have the ability to tame witchy familiars, reveal mysteries at the Arcana Altar, and gather ingredients that will enhance your abilities.
The most striking addition is probably Omega attacks that are a brand new way to power up your spells and weapons. These attacks will boost your magick meter which allows you to unleash devastating attacks that cover a huge effects over a vast area. It's a great method to add more variety to the action of combat.
Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. The date of release for the full version of the game is still not known however, Supergiant has promised to keep fans informed as they strive towards a 1.0 release in 2024. In the meantime, you can add a wishlist to the game on either platform to be informed when it launches.
4. Hades 2 Release Date
Hades 2 is now available in early access on PC after an extremely successful test. The sequel to Supergiant Games follows Melinoe, the daughter of Zeus and Hades on a quest to destroy Chronos and save her father. Hades 2 promises to deliver all of the great mechanics of its award-winning predecessor with an adaptation of the story that is that is rooted in Greek mythology and the dawn of witchcraft.
Steam and Epic Games Store are both available for those who want to purchase the game. The players who purchase the early access version will get access to the future versions of the game. Hades 2 will be released in entirety by the end of 2024.
The roguelike is not due to launch until 2022 but the early access version of the game has already sparked players to their attention.
